About Ruth
Ruth moved from corporate project management to a more rewarding and impactful role working with families. Alongside her professional background, she has worked with children in her church community for over 10 years in different roles, so keeping busy hubs running smoothly while making families feel welcome comes naturally.

What kinds of things can families come to you for help or support with?
"Accessing services in the local area, reassurance if they flee homes in an emergency and meet me initally in the hub. Parenting and behaviour advice, cost of living support, confidence building, accessing community services, SEN support".
What do you enjoy most about working with families?
"Seeing the joy and peace when practitioner helps them with the issues they have come in with relationship building, connecting".
What would you say to a parent or carer who is nervous or unsure about asking for support?
"I would say I am just as normal as them. Nothing is too silly to ask for and make they feel relaxed and reassured".
What can a family expect when they first meet you?
"A warm and friendly smile and reassurance I am here to help".
What is important to you when you are working alongside a family?
"That the family feels safe and not judged".
